hey! to does who have tried south beach and knows a lot about it. im trying it. im at the first week of phase1 now. and im wondering if canned foods like spam, tuna, vienna sausage, corned beef is ok for phase1? i see the carbo content and it less than 1 or even 1-2g. is that ok? please help me! please!
Tuna- Yes, go for it (even in phase 1)
The rest I can’t say for sure but I have a sinking suspicion that they have too much fat and/or sat. fat to be a good choice.
A GREAT resource is the Good Carbs/Good Fats book for South Beach. It lists all kinds of food and says what [has eif any they are good for. I checked it out from the library.
