How Do You Properly Do The South Beach Diet?

i know theres phase 1, 2 and 3 and what they’re about but how do you do phase 1
i know its no carbs but…how do you know how much to eat and when to eat?
can somebody please explain what you eat daily at what times? and how to do it properly thanks

  1. The SBD requires you to eat six times a day (3 meals, 2 snacks). In phase one, meals should be veggies and lean protien, snacks are FF cheese or 15-20 nuts. You can have up to 2 servings of milk (plain yogurt, lowfat milk) as lactose is the only kind of sugar allowed. Limit sugar free snacks to 75 calories a day. Eat until you are satisified, but no more.

  2. It is not no carbs- There are plenty of simple books that explain the system. Its too complicated for this column. I think you people need more veggies than the South Beach has….
