I answered this a while back–here’s what I wrote: ![]()
You use the author’s/company’s diet plan and recipes to get the results you want. The basic outline is three phases:
In Phase One (two weeks), most carbohydrates -mostly bread and sugar including fruit, are removed from your diet. It takes a lot of determination, but it’s not difficult; the meals plan & recipes they provide are healthy and will keep you feeling full.
Phase Two (I believe this is a month), you slowly start adding fruits, breads, starch. Be sure to move to this phase or else you’ll restrict yourself too long and gain the weight back.
Phase Three, you add more food back in; throughout the process you do learn how to eat healthy. It’s not the best diet in my opinion but it will teach you how to start living a healthy lifestyle.
Good luck–do a yahoo search for their website

What Is South Beach Diet All About?how Does It Help Us?
I Want To Start Quick Trim; How Well Does It Work With Diet And Exercise?
I don’t need to hear from anyone who hasn’t tried the product themselves – it doesn’t matter to me who thinks pills are bad.
I just want the facts:
Does it work?
How well does it work?
When should I stop taking it so my body doesn’t become immune/dependent on it?
When I am off of it, will I surely gain back the weight if I come off of my diet and begin eating regular meals in small portions?
And any other comments you may have about this product, whether it be negative or positive.
Thanks!

Does Anyone Still Do The Atkins Diet?
I was just wondering. I got the book from the library the other day out of curiosity because I have been learning about how bad white flour and sugar can be for you. In fact, they really shouldn’t even be considered foods. But anyway, I thought Atkins was such a bad idea back when it was more popular, but now it seems to make more sense. How many of you do or did Atkins, and did it work for you?
Thanks.

Does Anyone Have A Really Good Diet Plan That Will Work Fast?
A good diet plan is one you wont fail, which is one meant for you where you eat the foods you love. The key to the right diet is eating 5 small meals a day between 300-500 calories per meal intake, with enough protein, carbs and fat. Everything on a nutrition label is pretty much, important for your body.
A small example for a days worth of meals is:
Breakfast:
2 eggs, preferably the whites, or not too much yolk.
side of fruit (apple, 1/2 cup of grapes, an orange, etc)
Side of wheat toast light butter or jam
1/2 cup of juice and a large glass of water
Snack (after breakfast before lunch, each meal is roughly 2-3 hours apart)
1/2 cup of trail mix (raisins, nuts, dried fruit)
Low fat yogurt
Lunch:
1/2 Turkey sandwich with lettuce (dark greens not iceburg), tomato (light mayo) or cheese.
Snack 2:
1 cup of protein drink or 1 protein bar
Dinner:
8oz of grilled salmon
1/2 cup of whole grain pasta
side of veggies (corn, carrots, broccoli, etc)
If you get hungry 2-3 hours before bedtime (it is not a crime or against any code to eat after a certain time) you can have a snack, preferably something with protein, if you want to indulge in ice cream just pick a smarter choice like fat free frozen yogurt or low fat ice cream. etc.

Popular Question! Does The South Beach Diet Work?
Specifically looking for:
1. amt of weight loss?
2. how long it took?
3. did you make any adjustments to the diet?
*note* i dont care if people think dieting doesn’t work or want to add how this specific diet is unhealthy etc. I’m not looking for advice… just results and personal modifications to the diet.
Thanks in advance!

Does Anyone Know The Theory (and How Proven It Is) Behind The Book “eat Right 4 Your Type”?
I was perusing through a bookstore the other day and came across a book called “Eat Right 4 Your Type”. I was only able to briefly flip through it, but the gist seems to be that there is a particular diet & exercise regimen specific to each blood type. In addition to my first question, I would also like to know if anyone has tried following this diet. (I would especially like to hear from anyone who has tried this who is blood type O+.)

Does The Southbeach Diet Really Work?
Do I need the book to do it? I’ve been exercising like crazy, watching what I eat but I think I need to jump start my metabolism. (I need to lose about 50 lbs, my doctor even said so) and I do love my carbs…a guy I work with suggested it, it helped him lose 25 lbs in about 3 months. What do you think?
